The Wedding Party

The Wedding Party by judkajudy
We are back from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where the wedding of Scott, my son, and Sara took place on the beach of the Riu Santa Fe resort. There were forty friends and relatives present to witness this joyful wedding!

I look at this picture and even though I was there and took the photo, it looks like it was staged in front of a painted scene! There could not be a more beautiful spot for the wedding.

The week was perfect in every way! We spent time with relatives and old and new friends. It was a joy to meet the people that now share the lives of my adult children. Of course, we all shared stories from the past and learned about the connections that brought all of us to this place to witness this wedding.

The good-byes at the end of the week were difficult, but we left with great memories and promises to gather like this again!

In the photo, the young woman on the very left is my daughter Kathleen; next is Amanda, wife of the best man; the junior bridesmaid is my granddaughter Lauren; next are the bride and groom; Andrew, my grandson; Mike, the best man; and my oldest son Todd.

Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share this wonderful experience with you!

Sunshine in the Rain

Sunshine in the Rain by judkajudy
.
This is a Penny Black slapstick stamp called Sunshine in the Rain  that I've had for over a year and haven't inked up before this. What was I thinking?

The little Teddy holding the umbrella for the little duck makes me smile! I colored them both with PrismaColor pencils and used a blender pen to even things out. And a touch of gingham always brightens things up.

No more stamping for me. Time to finish gathering and packing and then a mad swirl about the house to make sure all is in order while we are gone to Cabo San Lucas for my son's wedding.

Hope you are having a sunny day where you are! Thanks for stopping.

Cooper

100_4301 by judkajudy
Here's Cooper, still looking fresh from the groomer's!! Cooper has been part of our family for six months now and we wonder what we would do without him!

Like all Bichons, he loves being with people, shows and needs much affection and is very curious about his world!

Cooper's favorites are my dh, food and going for walks. Oh, I'm in there because of my relationship with the kitchen and filling his food bowl!

Hope you'll forgive this blatant showing off! Seriously, this little guy has added so much fun and interest to our sometimes very dull and boring life.

Cooper is a "rescue dog" that we found on PetFinder.com and drove to Tennessee to pick up. The first two years of his life were spent confined as a breeder dog and it is a tribute to the loving and forgiving nature of most dogs that he has been able to love and trust us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jane's Doodles

100_4303 by judkajudy
I've had this set from Jane's Doodles for awhile and haven't played with it enough! The other day I was faced with choosing between ironing and stamping and these little guys won!!

Well, the ironing is finished! Procrastination isn't always permanent.

We're in the final days of preparation for our big trip to Cabos San Lucas and the wedding. I haven't told the dog about his trip to the kennel yet. We'll save that for another day.

I stamped the images on kraft, colored them with PrismaColor pencils and added clouds punched from patterned paper with my Fiskars cloud punch.

Have a marvelous Monday wherever you are. It's another gorgeous day in Alabama. Thanks for stopping by!

Wryn from Tiddly Inks

Wryn from Tiddly Inks by judkajudy
I love little Wryn, a digital image from Tiddly Winks! Coloring her makes me smile!

I am entering this card in Kathy's Color Challenge at the Lily Pad. Pink, yellow and green - happy colors, indeed!

I will be putting away the stamps and markers this week - time to prepare for our upcoming trip to Cabos San Lucas for my youngest son Scott's wedding to Sara!  Our family will enjoy an entire week of fun in the sun!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having a beautiful day wherever you are!

Hero Arts Favorite

Hero Arts Favorite by judkajudy
It's been a while since I posted to my blog, but I haven't been idle!! I made and sent out 15 Easter cards, mostly to family. It is a very special holiday and I love greeting loved ones at this season.

The challenge at A Blog Named Hero is to make a project using your favorite Hero Arts stamps. I think we all change favorites when new images come out, but some stamps remain classic and are used often.

This card uses an older favorite, the Clouds background stamp. I've used it with two new favorites, Newspaper Skyline and Vintage Car.

I love to add stitching to my cards and my new Fiskars cloud stamp is currently a favorite, too!

I am wishing good things for the new blog that gives us another place to play with our Hero Arts stamps! I am certainly a Hero Arts fan and have been for more than ten years!  There are still two more days to enter the challenge.  Cllick here for more information.

Happy Easter Sunday to you! I hope Spring has arrived in your corner of the world. Thanks for stopping by!!
